Did you run into any challenges with Google?
Once I got the understanding of the layout and functions it was relatively easy to progress with the creation of my map. Navigating around to find the different addresses was tedious and repeating the same processes began to get a bit tiring. When it came to sharing my map to the public, that option was nowhere to be found on my screen. As a result of that, I embedded the clickable shared link above.
How did you research this topic?
Most of my research for this topic came from sourcing images. I grew up in this area so I basically highlighted all of the spots I would go to when I was still living in the area. The descriptions were derived from my own knowledge and the images I had to search up and select depending on copyright.
How long did it take you to research and then create the map?
It took me about two hours to create the map and like I stated before it was just doing the same exact process to 13 different points. Searching for the images was a little difficult because I had to input direct locations and filter through the ones that were able to be of use.
What was your design process like? Walk us through why you made the color choices, font choices, and layout choices you did.
My design process was to divide my points into four different categories and then add to each category one at a time. Once I hit at least three in that category I was able to go to the next point group. I added all of the photos and source links once I had all the icons and general descriptions completed. All image links are in their respective point bubbles.
