Program:
For this assignment I used Canva. I like to use Canva because it is a simple program to use that creates visually pleasing infographics. The only negative thing about Canva is that you have to pay to unlock certain features and designs. I believe that for class, Canva is a great option to use for a program.
Design:
I decided to use a temple to ensure that all the fonts and colors went well together. I made this temple my own by changing some of the designs and taking out and adding elements. I chose green for the background to represent the forest and trees. I used the beige color because it complements the green and it makes the text easy to see. I chose the specific topic of deforestation in the amazon and decided my audience is anyone that does not know what deforestation is, The purpose of this infographic is to educate the audience on what deforestation is and give facts about deforestation in the amazon specifically. I used a new type of graph that allowed me to visualize the area of deforestation that has occurred in the Amazon so far. I think this graph is pleasing to look at and helps the audience understand the information.
Research:
There is a lot of information about deforestation on the internet and specifically deforestation in the amazon. It took me about a half hour to 45 minutes to research this topic. the most difficult part was sifting through the information and picking out what I could use.
