A Sneak Peek into Some Benefits of Meditation!

During these stressful and unpredictable times, I decided to focus on a topic that helps me when I feel overwhelmed. Meditation has many benefits, especially when it comes to mental health. Meditation has helped me overcome issues dealing with mental health, simply just by breathing. There are many different forms of mediation and it only takes a few minutes a day. If you have no time I find putting on a guided meditation track on a program like Spotify even does wonders for your sleep. Normally it is hard for me to fall asleep without waking up every hour but since I started to meditate right before bed, I have only woken up maybe once a week during my sleep.
For this infographic I used my own knowledge on the topic but got the smaller blurbs of information from the same source linked on the bottom of this reflection, again these are only a few benefits of the practice. I decided to use Canva for my design process but this time I stayed away from the templates to see what I could come up with on my own. I used an image from Canva for the background, I went with the leaves because it related to nature and the calming effect I get when I meditate. From there I added a solid color and shape so I could add the information and it be legible. I chose these colors because they matched the calm, earthy tones I was going for. I added some clip art and a pie chart to add more visuals to the piece.
This post only took me a few hours to complete, although it is not one of my best infographics, I am still proud of the way it turned out because I believe it speaks to what I was trying to communicate while still having my dash of personality in it.
