This infographic map aims to visualize to the viewer where some of the biggest names in music came from in Pennsylvania. I wanted to use only musicians who are prominent in today’s music scene. However, when I learned that one of my favorite composers, Henry Mancini, was from Beaver county, I felt it was necessary to add him in as well considering his massive contributions to the world of music. Everything was put together on Adobe Photoshop. The pictures of the musicians were gathered from a free image domain, while the map itself is from familysearch.org. I added a Crisscross Etching filter to the map to give it more authenticity. I also cropped all of the images of the musicians to a specific size for continuity. The font used was Selawik Light.
