I chose to create diagram on one of the most iconic race cars of the Group B class, the Audi S1 Quattro. This 5 speed AWD monster producing over 450whp is debated as the car that made Group B shine. Thanks to supercars.net I was able to find an image of the exterior/interior of this car which is a perfect representation to make a diagram out of. I created this diagram with photoshop, creating a background that I felt representer the era of the 80’s along with the title which incorporates the main color of the Audi S1 Quattro. For a change this project was most difficult in the aspects of finding the correct information in order to have the correct statements on my diagram. I migrated through about 5 websites before settling between two, which shared the most common information. Since these cars are so rare and had such a short run life on the circuit it made specifications hard to find, for example the height and width of the wheels and material used to create the body. Overall I am very pleased with the aesthetic of the poster as I feel it gives off an “80’s vibe” which I was going for. My roommate also commented and said that it looked professional enough to be a poster that he would buy which was great to hear. I had a lot of fun with this assignment and I look forward to continue incorporating motorsport into my weekly assignments.
