I chose to look at how much an MCU movie cost to make and how well said movie did critically. I researched each of the 25 movies budgets on The Numbers and their Rotten Tomatoes scores. This probably took me about an hour to find and record for each movie. Once it was all plugged intone Excel spreadsheet, I went about making my charts.
For the first chart, I made a bar chart to show how much each film cost. I edited the graph to display the data in a more easily readable way. My second chart was line chart showing the different scored each film received from critics. This process took me another hour due to some issues I had with the bar chart.
For the design of my infographic, I wanted it to really pop, but still be readable. The colors I chose were vibrant to attract the viewer’s eye. I struggled with fitting my oddly sized graphs nicely on the page, but I believe how it all ended up looks good.
