For this weeks infographic, I chose to create a graphic about one of my favorite genres of music, indie folk. I chose this topic, because none of my other previous infographics were related to this, and it is something that I enjoy talking about. I chose to create this infographic in Canva, because I just really liked this template and I thought it would fit the vibe I wanted to create in my design. I like the clean look of it, and the darker colors it used. I researched to find some statistics on this specific genre of music, and used websites like digitalmusicnews.com and wikipedia.com. I created my simple pie chart in Canva, and found some cool graphic elements to incorporate in my infographic. I enjoyed this week’s topic, but I wish I wouldn’t have procrastinated and gave myself a little bit more time to be creative and do more intensive research.
