Environmental Issues: Air Pollution

When creating my infographic, I chose to use the program Canva.com because it is the program that has worked best for me so far and there are so many different elements and details to choose from when it comes to customizing your infographic. I began with a template which created the designated boxes for me on my infographic. I wanted to separate each graph in a way that it had its own area on the infographic. The only thing that I sometimes dislike about the program is the elements you have to pay for. When it comes to pictures and other graphic features, most of them must be paid for and it can become challenging to find the right ones that fit your infographic. I first researched the topic of Air Pollution to get as much knowledge as I could about it and then I continued to research graphs as well to get an idea of what is charted about air pollution.

It took me approximately 2 hours to both research my topic and then create the infographic for it. I like to research the topic thoroughly before beginning because there is always something I wasn’t aware of about the topic. My design process began with filling each block of color with an appropriate graph for my topic and then I added small details and images around it. I added a bold title to spark interest and strong air pollution facts to keep the viewers interest as well. I chose the color scheme of outdoors as that is where most of our air lives and is polluted daily by transportation, smoke and much more. I also added small leave detail to the edges of my infographic to show viewers of my infographic what they are also giving up by polluting our air daily.
