This topic was very difficult for me to find something I wanted to do an infographic on. I am not a fan of politics and do not like talking about it. I finally decided to do one on the first election that I was able to vote in. All of the information I found was on the wikipedia page for the election. I found the map on that page as well and then created a separate map in mapchart.com. This website allowed me to fill in certain states with different colors. I only focused on the primary parties since the third parties would make it difficult to colorize. After creating that, it did not take me long to get all the other information I wanted to include in the infographic and put it in. I chose to keep the colors to red, white and blue and incorporated american flags throughout the design.
