For this assignment, I used Photoshop and then designed my project in Canvas. This project took me awhile to finish since I couldn’t understand at first what was expected. I choose colors that weren’t too bright and close together in shade. I looked up examples of graphs on Google and found a map that showed the election times and I liked that idea. I thought about using the colors red, white, and blue at first, but I felt that the states would not be able to be focused on through using those colors. For this design, I started from scratch and edited the original image.
This project took me at least a week to come up with and design. I made a lot of error maps that I did not submit for this project. I could not make up my mind on which map I liked best. I like maps that are simple and straight to the point. I wanted to make this project fun and not stuck on using patriotic colors like you could. I like to make my project personal, and purple is one of my favorite colors. I thought this topic was interesting because I did not know how many of the times change across the United States.
