This week I decided to use Canva when assembling this diagram. I have a passion for makeup, and how it’s evolved in our culture over the years. I wanted to keep the overall theme of this diagram informative & trendy. I enjoyed making this infographic the most out of what we’ve done in class so far.
I’d like to consider myself pretty educated on the (recent) history of makeup, so most of my research consisted of finding the right images to display that generation’s makeup looks. I did run into some roadblocks when trying to find accurate representations of makeup from the fifties to eighties. It was fun to see how certain generations makeup looks overlapped with some iconic looks from the past. I also enjoyed learning about just how many women in the entertainment industry informally shaped our makeup world as we know it.
